- Take full responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of a 5–6 bed residential home for young people with complex mental health needs and challenging behaviours.
- Lead safeguarding within the service, ensuring accurate record‑keeping and adherence to company policy.
- Maintain CQC registration and lead inspections, ensuring compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and related legislation.
- Empower staff to meet the holistic needs of young people—physical, social, psychological, intellectual, and spiritual—while managing incidents effectively and providing post‑incident debriefs.
- Ensure effective communication with external professionals (GPs, CCG, community mental health services) and internal clinical teams.
- Oversee medication management, ensuring plans are accurate, understood, and followed by all staff.
- Drive recruitment of skilled and suitable employees to maintain a high‑performing team.
- Eating Disorder Care Leadership
- Lead the implementation of structured meal and snack support programmes, ensuring therapeutic prompts and exposure strategies are applied safely and consistently.
- Oversee monitoring of physical health indicators such as weight, BMI, blood pressure, and ECGs in strict alignment with NICE guidelines.
- Guide staff to challenge eating disorder behaviours (food restriction, purging, avoidance) using evidence‑based approaches such as positive reinforcement and Safewards principles.
- Clinical Collaboration
- Act as the central link between multidisciplinary professionals—psychiatrists, psychologists, dietitians, and clinical nurse specialists—to ensure care plans are integrated and holistic.
- Facilitate weekly dietetic reviews and psycho‑education sessions to support recovery and empower young people with knowledge about their condition.
- Compliance & Governance
- Maintain compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards and all statutory requirements, ensuring the home meets regulatory expectations.
- Implement rigorous audits for care plans, risk management strategies, and physical health monitoring to uphold quality and safety.
- Leadership & Development
