Qualifications

  • Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or experienced Deputy Manager in a children's residential setting.
  • In-depth understanding of Ofsted regulations and children's home legislation.
  • Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
  • Must hold a valid Right to Work in the UK.
  • DBS check (copy required).
  • Valid passport or share code (if not a British passport holder).

  • Ensure the home meets all regulatory and safeguarding requirements.
  • Develop a child-centred culture that promotes positive outcomes for the young people in care.
  • Lead, mentor and support the staff team to provide high-quality care.
  • Take full ownership of the home and work closely with the Responsible Individual.
  • Maintain high standards of compliance, safeguarding and care delivery.

About Us

We are currently seeking a Registered Manager for our brand-new childrens home. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager or a confident Deputy Manager looking to step up. The role offers full autonomy and the opportunity to grow within a well-supported forward-thinking organisation.

A second home is planned for acquisition in March / April 2026. The successful candidate will be considered for a Dual Registered Manager position at that time which will come with a full salary review and further development opportunities.

Tasks
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the childrens home
  • Ensure the home meets all regulatory and safeguarding requirements in preparation for Ofsted registration and inspection
  • Develop a child-centred culture that promotes positive outcomes for the young people in care
  • Lead mentor and support the staff team to provide high-quality care
  • Ensure the implementation and ongoing review of individual care plans and risk assessments
  • Take full ownership of the home and work closely with the Responsible Individual
  • Maintain high standards of compliance safeguarding and care delivery
Requirements
  • Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or experienced Deputy Manager in a childrens residential setting
