Are you an experienced Children’s Home Manager, eager to apply your knowledge and skills in a unique setting? The Deaf Academy has an exciting opportunity as Registered Manager for our beautiful four-bedroom home in Exmouth, which specialises in supporting Deaf young people. You will be a proven leader of a team of Residential Support Workers and Team Leaders, providing warm and nurturing care for Deaf children with additional and complex needs. Join our campus comprising of School, College, Residential Care, Adult Residential Care, and a Children’s Home.

Role Overview

As a middle leader, you’ll be part of a network of professionals to work alongside and draw support from, including corporate, education, welfare, and therapy teams. You’ll also be part of a supportive and fun Care Leadership Team across our other areas of provision. As a charity, we have a distinctive ethos.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Children’s Home Quality Standards and Regulations
• Excellent quality assurance and improvement skills
• Exceptional reporting and presentation skills
• Commitment to learning British Sign Language (BSL)
• Extensive knowledge of children in care with complex needs
