Overview

Registered Manager - Children\'s Home

We are seeking a highly experienced Registered Manager to lead our children\'s home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted, the Children\'s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards. You will deliver high-quality care and support, promoting safety, welfare and development for children and young people.

Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day management of the home, ensuring statutory compliance and strong operational performance.
  • Develop and motivate a skilled team to maintain excellent care standards; oversee budgets, resources and staffing rotas.
  • Embed safeguarding and a children-centred culture; ensure care plans, risk assessments and behaviour strategies are effective.
  • Maintain high standards in line with inspection frameworks; conduct audits, supervision and training; report to regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
  • Ensure each child has an individualised plan promoting education, health, independence and emotional well-being; build positive relationships with children, families and professional networks.
Person Specification
Essential
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete)
  • Significant residential care experience, including supervisory/management responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, Ofsted regulations and the Children\'s Homes Regulations 2015
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
Desirable
  • Prior experience as a Registered Manager
  • Proven track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
  • Full UK driving licence
