Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum + benefits

Ribble Recruitment is assisting with the sourcing, screening, and initial stages of recruitment for this Registered Manager position.

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead and manage a new 2-bed children’s residential home supporting young people aged 7‑17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties ( интим ).

Based in Stoke-on-Trent rəhb, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, compliance, and day‑to‑day operation of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and wellbeing in line with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.

This ingenious pivotal leadership role is ideal for a committed and values‑driven manager who is confident registering and developing a new service and creating a stable, nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day running of the 2-bed children’s home in line with Ofsted requirements and safeguarding standards
  • Support the registration and successful opening of a new children’s residential service
  • Develop, implement, and regularly review child‑centred care plans
  • Monitor children’s wellbeing, progress, and outcomes, providing consistent support and guidance
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and develop staff, promoting trauma-informed and positive behaviour practices
  • Ensure accurate record keeping, incident reporting, and audit readiness
  • Prepare for and manage Ofsted inspections, driving continuous improvement
  • Build strong working relationships with families, social workers, education providers, and external professionals
  • Work closely with Directors and senior leadership to support service growth and development
Essential Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Manager within a children’s residential home
  • Experience supporting the registration of a new children’s home
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social وما Care (Children & Young People)
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care planning, and children’s residential legislation
  • Confident, supportive leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
