Job summary

A leading health and social care provider in Bath is seeking a Registered Manager to oversee a Supported Living service for adults with mental health needs. This role requires at least 2 years of management experience and S/NVQ Level 5 in management in care or equivalent. Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory/management experience within a relevant care setting.
  • Track record of working within services for people with mental health.
  • Good knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS.
  • Experience of supported living services or domiciliary care.

Overview

Domus are on the lookout for a Registered Manager to join a highly reputable not-for-profit organisation and provider of Health and Social Care. You will be responsible for a Supported Living service providing support to adults with mental health in Bath, Somerset.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an established Registered or Service Manager with expertise in mental health, but will also welcome applications from experienced Deputy Managers looking for a step up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day responsibility for the running of designated services for adults with mental health.
  • Manage the Supported Living service in line with the provider’s vision, mission and values while ensuring compliance with current regulatory and statutory duties.
  • Partner with the Operations Manager to provide a high‑quality service that meets each individual service user’s needs within available resources.
  • Maintain great market knowledge around Bath, Somerset.
  • Drive the standards and quality of care in accordance with regulations and company policy.
  • Complete quality audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Manage and lead a dedicated team, providing training, appraisals, meetings and recruitment.
Requirements
  • S/NVQ Level 5 in management in care or equivalent (or willingness to work towards).
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory/management experience within a relevant care setting.
  • Track record of working within services for people with mental health.
  • Good knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS.
  • Good knowledge of relevant frameworks and statutory requirements.
  • Financial responsibility and reporting to the Operations Manager or equivalent.
  • Experience of supported living services, residential, outreach support or domiciliary care.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Leadership qualities.
  • IT literate.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team and provide a clear sense of direction.
