Job description

As a Registered Manager, you'll lead the way in ensuring children and young people receive exceptional care and support. Your goal is to align your approach with the organisation's values, creating a loving and nurturing environment that caters to each child's unique needs. This is a new service and your role will be to take over the Operations Managers who set up the home. Your Responsibilities:

Responsibilities
  • Keep the residential home running smoothly while adhering to relevant legislation, policies, and the Home's Statement of Purpose.
  • Lead a compassionate team to provide a safe and warm environment where children and young people can build cherished memories.
  • Create and implement personalised care plans that cater to each young person's specific needs.
  • Offer guidance and support to your care team, ensuring they maintain the highest standards of care.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions with the help of the Clinical Psychologists.
  • Encourage and support young people in engaging with therapies, education, and developing essential life skills.
Your Daily Adventures
  • Manage individual and team performance to maintain excellence in service delivery.
  • Keep a close eye on budgets and expenses while ensuring financial responsibility.
  • Cultivate positive relationships between the care team, young people, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain a high standard of the living environment.
  • Ensure all recorded information in the young person's home meets statutory requirements and remains of high quality.
  • Collaborate with internal and external professionals and commissioning authorities to meet the care needs of young people.
  • Ensure clinical practices and medication processes align with legal regulations.
  • Oversee daily routines and programs for young people, following care plans consistently.
  • Handle home budgets, transportation, timekeeping, sickness, and annual leave.
  • Complete Regulation 44 and Regulation 45 audits/reviews on a monthly and six-monthly basis.
  • Offer support in out-of-hours assistance system.
  • Manage team schedules, monitor training, and coordinate and attend care team meetings, providing minutes.
  • Develop COSHH, Risk Assessments, and Health & Safety procedures for your home.
  • Fulfil other relevant duties as required by your Managers.
  • Assist Human Resources with interviews.
  • Lead the induction process for new carers.
  • Provide monthly supervision to care teams, identify their training needs, and maintain supervision training records.
  • Conduct annual appraisals for carers.
  • Attend Home Manager's training and meetings.
  • Participate in disciplinary procedures.
  • Provide an annual homes development review report.
  • Maintain a professional personal appearance, promoting the organisation's image.
  • Continuously develop your skills and knowledge in the role.
