Registered Dental Nurse, Band 4 (18 hours a week)
This post is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Dental Nurse to join a multidisciplinary team and support the speciality to ensure the provision of a high standard of patient care.
This is an opportunity for you to develop and expand your skills as a Dental Nurse to the next level. You will be Specialising in Oral surgery, Head and Neck Cancers, Orthognathic, Alveolar, Implants, Cleft lip and Palate and Orthodontics.
A visit to the department is highly recommended in order to discuss the job role.
The successful candidate will be a Registered Dental Nurse interested in developing the service to our patients. We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and compassionate nurse with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to help us deliver outstanding treatment and care to our patients.
You will be responsible for setting up and closing/cleaning down of your surgery and maintaining stock levels. Assisting clinicians in all clinics within our speciality. We are looking for someone who is a team player and will fit into our very busy friendly team. We would welcome any applications for this Band 4 Dental Nurse Role for those with relevant experience, including newly qualified dental Nurses.
The applicant needs Active Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC). Evidence of ongoing professional development through maintenance of professional CPD.

We have 21 registered dental nurses, 3 registered nurses, 1 trainee nurse associate, 1 apprentice dental nurse, 1 dental hygienist, 3 Healthcare assistants and 1 stores/admin support that work within a very busy Outpatients department. The oral - maxillofacial surgery and orthodontics department work with a multidisciplinary team which covers a variety of head and neck procedures. We also cover trauma and dressing clinics whilst working alongside other teams in the head and neck speciality. We also have dental Core Trainees in the department and a strong training ethos.
This is a cross-site speciality with all staff required to work at both Cheltenham General and Gloucestershire Royal Hospitals. Free transport is provided for trust staff by shuttle-bus between the two sites.
