The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Registered Children's Nurse for a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover in Chester. You will be part of a brand new Women and Children's building and will support high-quality care, staff development, and patient-family advocacy.

You will engage with the team to promote excellence, participate in training, and assist management in running the clinical area to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and support a team of senior children's nurses to deliver high-quality care.
• Advocate for nursing, patients and families within a busy maternity ward.
• Train and mentor staff and assist senior management in running the clinical area.
• Help ensure care is appropriate for the needs of the patient group and promote continuous improvement.

You will actively engage and train other members of your team, and when instructed you will support senior management in the effective running of the clinical area, creating an environment which allows you’re team to maximise their ability and ensuring that the care delivered is appropriate for the needs of the patient group.
The Trust’s services are provided from three locations:

• The Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 473 general and acute beds.
• Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 60 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility.
• Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services which serve the local rural population.

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust employs 5,964 staff (headcount) to provide care and treatment to a population of over 400,000 people living in Chester and West Cheshire which includes Ellesmere Port and Neston as well as the Deeside area of Flintshire.
The Trust works collaboratively within the wider Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care System. Due to its location on the border with North Wales, the Trust also works closely with the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
