A local authority is seeking a Registered Building Control Inspector to support the delivery of Building Control services in Solihull. The role involves overseeing compliance with building regulations, conducting inspections, and maintaining high service standards. Candidates must have chartered status and be registered with the Building Safety Regulator. We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Building Control Inspector to join our award-winning Building Control team. This role will help support the delivery of Solihull Council’s responsibilities under the Building Safety Act and delivering high-quality Building Control services across the borough.
You’ll be an integral part of a high-performing and growing team that works closely with Planning, Solihull Community Housing, project delivery teams and our suite of external customers to ensure safe, compliant, and sustainable development and who are already successfully delivering high quality, customer focused Building Control across Solihull.
As a Registered Building Control Inspector, you will

As a Registered Building Inspector, you will have
Our Building Control team is committed to delivering services as efficiently as possible. You will be required to travel around sites across the Borough where much of the team’s work is delivered. Applicants must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle. Reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled applicants where required.
