Location - Remote, covering the South West

Salary - up to £63,000 per annum DOE

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for fostering services across a wide region
  • Manage recruitment, supervision, and development of staff in line with best practice
  • Ensure safeguarding and child protection practices meet statutory requirements
  • Drive quality assurance and regulatory compliance, achieving Good or above in inspections
  • Oversee budgets, business planning, and foster carer retention strategies
  • Build strong partnerships with local authorities and external agencies
  • Promote engagement with children and young people, ensuring their voices shape services
Qualifications
  • Social Work qualification (DipSW / CQSW / Degree) and Social Work England registration
  • Level 5 Management qualification (or willingness to complete within 3 years)
  • Proven experience in fostering, adoption, or family placement settings
  • Strong leadership and people management skills across diverse teams
  • Knowledge of fostering regulations, safeguarding, and trauma‑informed practice
  • Commercial acumen with experience in budgeting and business development
  • Ability to travel extensively and participate in out‑of‑hours service

In return, my client are offering a salary of up to £63,000 per annum, depending on experience. Please note, this is a full‑time permanent position, offered on a remote working basis, however, you must be based in the South West!
