About the Role

As a Registered or Enrolled Nurse in Anaesthetics, you will provide safe, compassionate care for patients before, during, and after surgery. You will coordinate with anaesthetists, surgeons, and the perioperative team to ensure excellence in patient safety and outcomes. You’ll be supported by experienced clinical educators and ongoing professional development opportunities while contributing to a hospital known for excellent patient outcomes and a supportive team culture.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Assist with the management of anaesthesia care, including preoperative assessment and intraoperative monitoring.
  • Ensure patient safety during anaesthesia, manage potential complications, and maintain a high level of clinical expertise.
  • Provide effective post‑anaesthesia care and manage postoperative recovery.
  • Act as a patient advocate and ensure optimal outcomes throughout the perioperative journey.
  • Support perioperative workflow and maintain timely theatre schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and nursing teams.
  • Demonstrate sound clinical judgement and adaptability in a busy environment.
  • Promote a culture of safety, empathy, and respect across all interactions.
About You

You are a motivated and confident Registered or Enrolled Nurse who takes pride in delivering exceptional care. Your calm, solution‑focused approach allows you to navigate challenges with professionalism and you thrive as part of a collaborative team.

To Be Successful You Will Have:
  • Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled and Registered Nurse.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in anaesthetic nursing.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • AL S and PALS certification (desirable).
  • Excellent communication, time‑management, and clinical decision‑making skills.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to patient care.
Remuneration

Enrolled Nurse: $35.78 – $39.96 per hour (superannuation based on experience; QLD EEN level 1‑2, grades 1‑6)

Registered Nurse: $41.89 – $54.01 per hour (superannuation based on experience; QLD RN / Midwife Level 1, grades 2‑8)
