Job summary

Your experience may include:

• Providing health and safety advice to operational teams and managers.
• Undertaking audits and inspections and supporting corrective actions.
• Reviewing risk assessments, safe systems of work and contractor arrangements.
• Supporting incident investigations and using findings to prevent recurrence.
• Delivering training and encouraging positive safety behaviours.
• Analysing performance information and producing clear, practical reports.
• Supporting compliance programmes and continuous improvement.
• Working collaboratively with clients, colleagues and specialist advisers.

About you

We would welcome interest from professionals with:

• A NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent professional Health & Safety qualification, with an interest in further development.
• A strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation and its practical application.
• Experience in an operational Health & Safety role.
• The confidence to engage with stakeholders at different levels and constructively challenge when needed.
• Strong analytical, communication and report writing skills.
• The ability to organise priorities, work independently and contribute to a wider team.

We would also be interested to hear about any lead auditor qualifications in ISO 9001 or ISO 45001, food safety qualifications, environmental knowledge or facilities management experience.
