Responsibilities

• Full accountability for the transport department's performance.
• Ensure that all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Monitor key performance indicators.
• Contribute to operational strategy planning.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
• Recruit, develop, and manage direct reports.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop colleagues through performance reviews.
• Collaborate with other business functions.
• Manage employee relations issues per company policy.

Skills

Managerial and leadership experience within FMCG, 3PL or retail logistics

Current International CPC and Operators Licence holder

Ability to motivate and ensure productivity

Knowledge of driver hours and tachograph legislation

Experience in a unionised environment

Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations

Experience in budgetary and performance targeting

Effective communication skills

Experience in managing change

Ability to interpret data
