Job summary

A well-established care home group in the Northwest is seeking an experienced Regional Support Manager. This role involves driving quality improvement and operational excellence across multiple care homes. Candidates must have an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and a commitment to further qualifications. The position offers a competitive salary of £65,000 - £70,000 per annum and the opportunity to make a significant impact in the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct monthly Provider / Compliance visits, reviewing KPIs and service improvement plans.
  • Take ownership of care home quality outcomes and overall performance.
  • Lead standardisation of documentation and roll‑out of best practices across homes.
  • Develop and support action plans with Home Managers following audits.
  • Maintain presence across services, providing support for underperforming homes.
  • Provide management cover during Home Manager absences.
  • Build relationships with CQC, Local Authorities, and stakeholders.
  • Attend Governance and Central Team meetings, presenting audit outcomes.
  • Guide Home Managers to achieve commercial goals.
  • Contribute to policy and procedure development for care standards.
  • Assess training needs and organise training as required.
  • Support Home Managers through coaching and mentoring.
  • Lead formal processes including disciplinary hearings and grievances.

  • Conduct monthly Provider / Compliance visits, reviewing KPIs, service improvement plans, maintenance logs, and environmental standards
  • Take ownership of care home quality outcomes and overall performance within your region
  • Lead on the standardisation of documentation and roll‑out of best practices across all homes
  • Develop, monitor, and support action plans with Home Managers following audits or complaints
  • Maintain a strong and visible presence across services, with focused support for underperforming homes
  • Provide hands‑on management cover during Home Manager absences
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with CQC, Local Authorities, and other professional stakeholders
  • Attend and contribute to Governance and Central Team meetings, presenting audit outcomes and insights
  • Guide Home Managers to achieve commercial goals, including occupancy growth and marketing activity
  • Contribute to policy and procedure development to enhance care standards and compliance
  • Assess training needs, review completion data, and organise or deliver training as required
  • Support and develop Home Managers through coaching, mentoring, and regular 1 : 1 guidance
  • Lead and manage formal processes including disciplinary hearings, appeals, and grievances in line with company protocols
Required Skills & Experience
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), with commitment to complete NVQ Level 5 or 7
