Regional Service Manager

Location: Hybrid (Home-based with frequent UK travel) Manchester-Leeds-Sheffield Based
Salary: £47,500 + 10% Bonus (with potential to earn more)

The Role

As Regional Service Manager, you'll lead a team of 10+ field engineers across the northern region of the UK. Working closely with the Head of Service and Customer Support teams, you'll drive performance, service excellence, and customer satisfaction through effective leadership, process improvement, and technical oversight.

This is a home-based role requiring frequent travel to customer sites and occasional international visits to support distributor networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support Service Engineers and Senior Service Engineers, fostering professional growth through training, mentoring, and performance management.

  • Monitor and improve service delivery, ensuring SLAs are achieved and any issues are quickly resolved.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide feedback on product and service performance.

  • Drive process improvements and best practices across the service function.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular site visits and proactive account management.

  • Identify and support sales opportunities within the service network.

  • Provide occasional hands‑on technical support where required.

  • Support overseas distributors with training, audits, and service delivery as needed.

About You

You're an experienced people leader who thrives in a service-focused, technical environment. You'll have a strong background in managing field-based engineering teams and a passion for delivering operational excellence.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years' experience in a field service management or regional leadership role.

  • Strong people management and coaching skills.

  • Proven experience driving performance and managing change.

  • Technically minded with a hands‑on approach when required.

  • Strong communication, planning, and analytical skills.

  • Comfortable travelling across the UK and occasionally overseas.

Desirable:

  • Degree, HNC, or ONC qualification in a relevant discipline.

  • Experience within healthcare, infection control, or NHS estates management.

  • Background in compliance or technical service delivery.

  • Experience in rostering and resource planning.

Ideal candidates will be based within the Manchester-Leeds-Sheffield triangle (postcodes: M, L, S, WF, HD, OL, SK, BL, BD).
