Responsibilities and duties of the Regional Service Centre Director, UK & Ireland role
  • Oversee the operations and drive business development for the assigned service field.
  • Manage the sales and successful execution of projects assigned to the regional service centre.
  • Build, lead, and develop account management, field service and technical service teams.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the overall service strategy.
  • Manage the profit and loss of the regional service centre, including creating the annual budget and monitoring financial performance.
  • Drive order intake and ensure the service centre meets broader business unit goals.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, develop and grow service agreements, and provide feedback to improve service offerings.
  • Manage team resources, ensure competencies match role requirements, and support the growth and development of employees and leaders.
  • Network with key stakeholders in the market, including customers, consultants, and suppliers, while proactively pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Implement and maintain the operating model, governance structures, and defined roles and responsibilities in the region, fostering collaboration across regions, business lines, and centralised teams.
  • Synthesise and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on the progress, performance, and development of the service centre.
Professional qualifications
  • Holds degree or MSc in Engineering related subject, MBA is preferred.
  • Holds NEBOSH qualification or similar highly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of the WtE industry, including local business behavior, service operations, maintenance, supply chain, and logistics.
  • Strong financial acumen and P&L understanding, including project cost structures, margins, and business unit performance.
  • Experience managing operations in a global matrix organisation, with exposure to business development and service operations.
  • HSE mindset, ensuring compliance with company rules and legal requirements.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams while setting strategic direction.

  • Excellent customer focus and service mindset, with the ability to understand customer needs and business contexts.
  • Ability to work across cultures and locations, building bridges between different teams and organizations.
  • Continuous improvement and problem-solving mindset, with a focus on root causes and operational excellence.
