Overview

Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for our locally based client who are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to cover the South West area of the UK. Ideally you will be Somerset based. The role is specialising in sales within the construction industry, so a construction sales background is preferred. You will get a car, phone, laptop and IT package. The role is remote, however meetings at the Oldbury, West Midlands head office will be required. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm with half hour lunch break each day and 8.30am to 1.30pm with no lunch break on Friday of each week - 37 hours in total, paid monthly.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborating with fabricators, developing strong relationships with both existing and new
  • Interpreting and appreciating construction drawings
  • Demonstrate confidence in our products and services and show a professional approach in meetings and presentations to customers & structural consultant engineers
  • Deliver and present CPD presentations to consultant engineers
  • Meeting sales and margin targets with support from technical and sales teams
  • Track multiple projects at various stages, such as schemes at design and tender stage resulting in order placements
  • Commercial awareness, controlling costs to fabricators also ensuring we deliver the best-in-class solutions
  • Administration, reporting and attendance to internal sales meetings.
Qualifications
  • Proven sales experience, ideally in the steel or construction industry
  • Strong relationship-building skills with customers, structural engineering practices and industry contacts
  • Excellent organisational abilities to manage workload and territory coverage
  • A self-motivated, professional, and collaborative approach
  • Initiative to meet targets independently and as part of a team
  • Computer literate skills and able to communicate at all levels
  • A full driving licence
  • Proof you can work in the UK as the Company does not hold a sponsorship licence.
