A dedicated in-house service and support team ensures exceptional customer care from installation through to ongoing maintenance. Full product and technical training is provided.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and proactive Regional Sales Manager to take ownership of the Southern UK territory. You will drive new business, develop existing accounts, and promote market-leading fire suppression solutions to end users, dealers, and OEMs.

The role is home-based with quarterly meetings at the Head Office (Chelmsford area). You’ll need a strong hunter-gatherer mentality and be comfortable spending most of your time on the road meeting clients, uncovering opportunities, and growing regional sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new business and manage accounts across end users, dealers, and OEMs
  • Maintain an 80/20 new business vs. account management focus
  • Conduct 3–4 face-to-face client meetings daily (up to 50 per month)
  • Build strong relationships and networks to maximise sales opportunities
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations and tenders; maintain accurate records in the CRM
  • Deliver professional sales presentations and product demonstrations
  • Negotiate effectively to achieve revenue and profitability goals
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order delivery
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity and customer interactions
  • Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and training sessions as needed

Key Requirements
  • Proven experience selling plant or heavy machinery (essential)
  • Strong B2B sales background within industrial, technical, or engineering environments
  • Excellent business development and relationship management skills
  • Highly motivated, organised, and results-focused
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems
  • Full UK driving licence (approx. 30,000 miles per year)
Package
  • Basic Salary: £45,000–£50,000 (DOE)
  • Commission: 1–2% of sales
