Job summary

National Wealth Fund is seeking a Managing Director for the Regional Project Accelerator in Leeds. Hybrid role with 3 days weekly in the Leeds office; lead lending, advisory and partnerships for local authority projects.

You will shape strategy, manage a 30+ RPA team, and build senior government and client relationships to unlock investable opportunities across transport, energy, and regeneration sectors.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in finance, advisory, investment, or related fields, with public sector exposure.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and senior stakeholder relationships.
• Strong strategic planning and pipeline development skills.
• Excellent communication and influencing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Regional Project Accelerator with strategic direction and governance.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, government bodies and financiers.
• originate opportunities and oversee lending, advisory and partnerships.
• Set strategy, priorities and delivery across transport, energy and regeneration projects.
• Represent the Fund at senior forums and with strategic partners.
