Salary : £30,000 - £32,000 DOE

Shift Pattern : Monday - Friday

Location : Hybrid Role - Base of Doncaster

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Takes responsibility for providing advice and generalist HR support. Always demonstrating our core values
  • Develops effective on-going relationships at all levels on site establishing yourself as a credible, respected and valued advisor, responding to queries directly and influencing managers to follow a best practice approach.
  • Manage all employee relations caseload efficiently and effectively, maintaining consistency across sites and in line with legislation and employment law.
  • Coaching & mentoring of the Management team and support the contracts people strategies looking specifically around retention and development.
  • Support cyclical activities ., salary review, bonus, performance, engagement, succession planning etc.

Devise your own engagement and social value plan for your sites and work towards the wider objectives of the business.

  • Ensure accurate operation of HR systems by all Line Managers.
  • Collate management reports.
  • Support in delivering the People plan in line with our strategy for the year.
  • Support the People Manager in the planning and implementation of organization changes, HR projects and initiatives that support the Wincanton people strategy.
  • Assist in training and developing managers in people related matters, ensuring processes are followed and legislation is met.
Essentials
  • Previous HR Officer / Advisor experience
  • Have a full, clean UK driving license as travel across the region is required.
  • Previous experience of providing employment law and best practice advice on ER cases
  • Confidential and professional approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload, working under pressure to tight deadlines.
