Review risk assessments, procedures, training requirements, equipment and workplace layouts to ensure they remain appropriate and effective.

Focus on the prevention of serious injuries, occupational health issues and environmental escapes.

Provide practical, professional EHS advice to managers and employees.

EHS Compliance & Governance

Maintain and develop EHS policies, procedures and supporting documentation.

Ensure EHS processes are fit for purpose and consistently applied in practice.

Report audit findings to management and oversee corrective actions through to completion.

Develop appropriate governance routines to support delivery of annual and longer-term EHS objectives.

Auditing & Safety Improvement

Develop and implement a comprehensive EHS audit programme involving management, operations, employees, EHS personnel and specialist contractors.

Coordinate Job Safety Observations (JSOs) and ensure critical safety processes are appropriately covered.

Identify trends, recurring risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Promote practical solutions that strengthen safety performance and employee engagement.

Ensure accidents, near-misses, health concerns, environmental incidents and security breaches are investigated promptly and effectively.

Support robust root-cause analysis and problem-solving.

Ensure corrective and preventative actions are clearly identified, implemented and followed through.

Use lessons learned from incidents to prevent recurrence.

Training & Employee Engagement

Deliver and support EHS training covering company policies, practices and procedures.

Coach managers and employees to improve their understanding and ownership of EHS responsibilities.

Promote employee participation in safety initiatives and awareness activities.

Develop initiatives such as safety awareness talks and accident-free campaigns to reinforce positive behaviours.

Build an environment where employees actively identify and manage hazards.

Environmental, Social & Governance

Support delivery of the company's ESG agenda through EHS activities and decision-making.

Contribute to the Group's environmental, health and safety objectives and standards.

Identify opportunities to improve environmental and sustainability performance where relevant to the role.
