Overview

We have a new opportunity for a Regional HR Advisor to provide high quality advice and hands-on support to our teams across Yorkshire. Work location is flexible from our Sheffield, Leeds or Hull office; regular travel to all sites will be required.

Responsibilities
  • Be the first point of contact for all ER issues and take the lead in managing grievances, chairing disciplinary investigations and hearings, advising on performance management issues, and sickness absence management.
  • Manage maternity/paternity processes for employees including liaising with payroll, communicating entitlements to staff, completing risk assessments, managing KIT days and supporting return to work.
  • Manage long-term sickness absence, including conducting welfare meetings and chairing capability/ill-health meetings and dismissals.
  • Monitor and manage short-term sickness absences and instigate disciplinary action where trigger levels are reached.
  • Train and coach Managers on best practice and HR policy.
  • Support retention, engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
