Job summary

Travis Perkins in Portslade near Brighton is seeking a Regional HGV Class 2 Driver to deliver building materials to local customers. You’ll load with HIAB, ensure loads are secure and legal, and complete around 14 drops a day while maintaining a professional approach.

Qualifications

• You’ll need a Class 2 driving license, up-to-date CPC records, and have held a Category B license for 12+ months.
• HIAB experience or training funded by the employer is available.
• Customer-focused with ability to build relationships with clients.
• Safety-conscious and professional in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials from the branch to local customers, ensuring loads are secure and on time.
• Load using HIAB, verify everything is packed correctly and legal before departure.
• Make around 14 drops per day and return to the branch to reload as needed.
• Maintain a professional and courteous presence as the face of the company on the road.

Working Hours 6:30am to 4pm - Saturday mornings 8am to 12pm alternate Saturday mornings

No evenings or overnights!

What will you be doing?

You’ll be delivering building materials from our branch to local customers, making sure everything’s safe and sound. You’ll load up your vehicle with the HIAB, double-check it’s all properly packed and legal, and then hit the road. As our face on the road, you’ll keep it professional while making around 14 drops a day, then head back to the branch to reload when needed.

Who You Are

• Requirements: You’ll need a Class 2 driving license, up-to-date CPC records, and have held a Category B license for 12+ months.
• HIAB experience: Don’t have HIAB experience? No problem! We’ll fund your HIAB training.
• Customer-focused: You’ll be confident building and developing relationships with customers.
• Safety-focused: You’ll prioritise safety in every aspect of your work, completing tasks in a professional manner.
