Job summary

Travis Perkins plc is hiring for a Regional HGV Driver (Class 2) in the Cambridge area. The role involves delivering building materials from our local branch to customers with around 14 daily drops, loading HIAB when needed, and returning to the branch for reloads.

There are no evening or overnight shifts, and HIAB training is provided. We offer a permanent full-time position, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service, plus a range of benefits including a pension, staff discounts,

Qualifications

• You’ll need a Class 2 driving license, up-to-date CPC records, and have held a Category B license for 12+ months.
• HIAB experience: Don’t have HIAB experience? We’ll fund your HIAB training.
• Customer-focused: You’ll be confident building and developing relationships with customers.
• Safety-focused: You’ll prioritise safety in every aspect of your work, completing tasks in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• You’ll be delivering building materials from our branch to local customers, making sure everything’s safe and sound.
• You’ll load up your vehicle with the HIAB, double-check it’s all properly packed and legal, and then hit the road.
• As our face on the road, you’ll keep it professional while making around 14 drops a day, then head back to the branch to reload when needed.
