Job summary

Nationwide Platforms Ltd. is seeking a Regional Class 1 HGV Driver based from the Bristol depot, with duties spanning across the South West region. You will travel to cover depots as needed, with travel and accommodation arranged by the company.

You must hold an HGV Class 1 licence and CPC card, and be committed to high standards of customer service and safety. Training is provided, plus a regional allowance and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Flexible with staying away from home on average three nights per week (accommodation provided).
• Experience driving a low loader or delivering plant is preferred, though full training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload machines in accordance with Company code of practice.
• Maintain security of load during transport and delivery.
• Handover machines to customers and explain operation.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure tachographs are compliant.
• Relay customer queries to depot staff and act as company ambassador.
• Complete relevant paperwork accurately.

Job description

We are looking for a Regional Class 1 HGV Driver based from our Bristol depot, but providing cover for all the depots across the South West region.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the UK market leader in powered access. With this role you will be required to travel and cover the depots where needed across the region. Travel and accommodationarrangementswill be paid for by the company when this is required.

As an HGV class 1 driver we are looking for people that have the correct licences, hold a CPC card, enjoy dealing with people on a daily basis, have excellent customer service skills and understand the importance of health and safety within an organisation.

• Load and unload machines in accordance with the Company code of practice and use appropriate equipment.
• Maintaining security of load when loading, transporting and delivering machines.
• Handover machines to customers and familiarise customers with machine operation
• Carry out daily checks on vehicle and ancillary equipment.
• Comply with legislation regarding vehicle safety, tachographs operation and working time.
• Relay appropriate customer queries to depot staff as required.
• Act as an ambassador for the company, providing high standard of customer care and being polite at all times.
• Accurately complete all relevant paperwork.

About you: -

• You must hold an HGV class 1 licence & a full CPC card.

• An understanding of the importance of customer service is essential as you will be responsible for demonstrating our equipment to customers.
• A demonstrable understanding of HGV vehicle safety and upkeep.
