Job summary

Kärcher is seeking a Regional GL Expert to lead local General Ledger accounting across the Northern Europe region. You will own month-end closings, tax filings, and internal controls while coordinating with the Global Shared Service Center.

The role requires 5+ years in accounting, strong English, SAP experience, and a willingness to travel up to 20%. You will drive process improvements and leverage AI tools to boost efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent (MBA or CPA is a plus).
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in an accounting or finance role.
Strong English; Nordic language knowledge desirable.
SAP experience and Google Workspace proficiency.
Knowledge of local accounting laws and regulations in the region.

Responsibilities

Manage all local GL functions and ensure accurate monthly and annual closings.
Oversee timely computation and preparation of regional tax returns (VAT, corporate tax) and ensure compliance.
Serve as liaison between local team and the Kärcher Global Shared Service Center and auditors.
Maintain robust accounting controls across treasury, cash pooling, and payroll journals.
Evaluate workflows and implement AI tools to modernize operations and drive efficiency.
