Job summary

Lift Schools is seeking an expert Regional English Leader to drive school improvement across our North region. The role blends regional strategy with hands-on teaching, working with Senior leaders to raise standards across multiple sites.

Flexibility includes teaching 2 days in a local school and remote work from home for the remaining time, with travel to other regional schools funded by the trust. A strong English leader is required.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a secondary English leader.
• Deep knowledge of effective secondary English education.
• Ability to build capacity across a multi-school network.
• Strategic thinking to implement regional English strategy.
• Willingness to teach part-time in a regional school.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of the regional English strategy across all schools.
• Coach and support English leads to improve teaching and outcomes.
• Teach in local classrooms part of every week to model best practice.
• Collaborate with Principals, Heads of Department, and regional directors.
• Develop national expertise in English within Lift Schools network.
