Job summary

Runwood Homes Limited is seeking a Regional Dementia Lead to oversee dementia care across our network of care homes. You will develop the Dementia Care Programme, mentor Dementia Champions, and deliver training to staff to ensure high-quality, person-centred care.

You will monitor care standards, provide guidance to families, and lead regional dementia initiatives across multiple homes in the region. A strong leader with excellent communication and independent-working skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding and practical experience in person-centred dementia care, including managing stress and distress.
• Strong leadership skills to guide and inspire others.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Confidence, determination, flexibility, and intuition in your approach.
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the continued development of the Dementia Care Programme.
• Supporting, developing, and mentoring Dementia Champions across homes.
• Delivering dementia-specific training sessions to staff.
• Coaching and mentoring staff in dementia care, including hands-on support.
• Promoting high-quality activities for people with dementia.
• Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on dementia care standards.
• Providing guidance on individualised dementia care needs for residents.
• Offering support and guidance to families, including dementia awareness sessions.
• Leading and supporting dementia-related initiatives and projects.
