Job summary

Global Commissioning is seeking a Regional Commissioning Manager to lead mission-critical data centre projects across multiple sites in the region. You will act as senior technical authority, drive delivery, governance, and client engagement, bridging site teams and senior management.

The role requires strong leadership across regions, expertise in electrical power distribution, cooling, controls, and standards such as EN 50600 and TIA-942.

Qualifications

• Background in mission-critical data centre systems and electrical distribution.
• Experience with mechanical cooling and integrated systems.
• Knowledge of redundancy concepts (N, N+1, 2N).
• Familiarity with EN 50600, TIA-942 and Tier concepts.
• Proven leadership across multiple sites and disciplines.
• Experience in live data centre environments.
• Strong client engagement and governance capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across commissioning teams.
• Oversee Level 1–5 commissioning and IST.
• Set and enforce commissioning standards.
• Coordinate with Project Managers on scope, milestones, resources.
• Monitor delivery plans, risks, and performance.
• Mentor multidisciplinary teams and drive safety.
• Engage with clients as senior regional technical contact.

Due to frequent travel across Europe, the role is open to candidates based anywhere in the UK or mainland Europe, preferably near a major international airport.

Global Commissioning is expanding, and we are looking for a Regional Operations Manager to lead and deliver mission-critical commissioning projects across multiple sites within an assigned region.

About the Role

As Regional Commissioning Manager, you will act as the senior technical authority across your region, providing leadership, governance, and delivery oversight on complex data centre projects.

You will bridge site-based teams and senior management, ensuring projects are delivered:

• To the highest technical standards
• In line with contractual and client expectations

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical direction across multiple commissioning teams
• Oversee Level 1–5 commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
• Set and enforce commissioning standards and methodologies
• Support resolution of complex system integration issues

Operational & Project Oversight

• Coordinate with Project Managers on scope, milestones, and resource planning
• Monitor delivery plans, risks, and performance across projects
• Ensure consistency in reporting and execution
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary commissioning teams
• Promote collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement
• Support technical development and knowledge sharing

Client Engagement

• Act as senior regional technical contact
• Manage expectations and provide clear progress updates
• Support issue resolution and escalation management
