Job summary

Barchester Healthcare, a leading provider of care home services in the UK, is seeking a Regional Clinical Development Nurse. You will lead, support, and continually enhance clinical governance and care quality across nine homes, spanning Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire, Northampton, Gosmore, Melbourn, and Jersey.

The role requires reviewing governance databases and KPIs monthly, partnering with the Regional Director and senior staff to implement actions, organise training, and support recruitment.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration.
• Evidence of continuing professional development and regulatory knowledge.
• Experience in a care home environment.
• Strong leadership and mentoring of nurses.
• Ability to analyse KPIs and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support clinical governance and care quality across nine care homes.
• Review governance databases and KPIs monthly; identify improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with Regional Director and senior staff to implement actions.
• Organise training and recruitment of senior clinical staff.
• Conduct clinical investigations; travel regularly is essential.
