Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Regional Class 2 Driver to support deliveries from New Malden and Croydon stores. The role offers full-time, permanent employment with a rotating two-week shift pattern and 40 hours per week.

Competitive pay is based on licence held: £18.90/hour (£39,312/year) or £19.93/hour (£41,454.40/year), with overtime. Includes CPC training, pension, and discount programs.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with category C Entitlement, up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
• Valid HIAB licence with brick grab ticket (ALLMI or equivalent).
• Excellent customer service skills, written and verbal.
• Willingness to undertake DBS check and commute between stores.

Responsibilities

• Provide multi‑drop home deliveries directly to the customer’s chosen room.
• Maintain accurate driving/working time records using Tachomaster and logs.
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner.
• Check off products and delivery documentation to ensure accuracy.
• Keep customers informed of ETA and communicate politely if issues arise.

Job description

Are you looking for a role where your Class 2 (Cat C) driving experience really matters? Do you enjoy brightening customers’ days by delivering their much-loved products to their homes? Are you happy being out on the road and take pride in delivering excellent customer care?

Here at GXO, we’re working together with B&Q and are looking for highly experienced Regional Class 2 Driver to join our Store to Home team (applications from HIAB-qualified drivers are encouraged). In this role you will support deliveries from our New Malden and Croydon stores therefore flexibility is essential.

You’ll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, following a two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 - Monday to Friday / Week 2 - Tuesday to Saturday, with start time between 07:00 and 11:00, contracted to 40hrs per week.

Pay Rates

Class 2 Driver

• An hourly rate of £18.90, that is an annual salary of £39,312.00
• Overtime pay of 28.35 per hour (when applicable, paid over 40hrs)

Class 2 Driver (HIAB Qualified)

• An hourly rate of £19.93, that is an annual salary of £41,454.40
• Overtime pay of £29.90 per hour (when applicable, paid over 40hrs)

What you’ll do on a typical day

• Providing multi‑drop home deliveries directly to the customer’s chosen room, averaging 16 deliveries per day in quieter months and up to 24 during peak season
• Maintain accurate driving/working time records using the Tachomaster system and manual entries to record all working hours as required by the WTD regulations
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner
• Ensure all products are checked off the vehicle and the customer receive the correct products and delivery documentation
• Keep customers informed of their estimated time of delivery and where issues occur communicate with in a polite and courteous manner

What you need to succeed at GXO

• Previous experience in multidrop, store deliveries preferable but not essential
• A full UK driving licence with category C Entitlement with an up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
• A valid HIAB licence with brick grab ticket (ALLMI or equivalent), where held
• Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal
• Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check)
• Be prepared to commute between New Malden and Croydon stores
