Job summary

CSL Behring in Maidenhead, UK, seeks a Director, Regional Ecosystem Lead (Northern Europe & UK) to drive CSL's external innovation and deal flow. This hybrid role blends ecosystem engagement, strategic scouting, and deal-team leadership across biotech, academia, and investment networks.

You will partner with global R&D, BD, and legal to position CSL as the partner of choice in key ecosystems, building visibility and strategic relationships in the region.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in biopharma or business development with regional ecosystem knowledge.
• Advanced degree required (PhD, MD, or equivalent).
• Proven track record of sourcing external opportunities and leading deal execution.

Responsibilities

• Act as CSL's key leader in the regional innovation ecosystem, sourcing opportunities aligned with TA strategies.
• Create partnerships for GLG presence within each ecosystem.
• Maintain and expand relationships with universities, incubators, accelerators, VC firms, and local orgs.
• Collaborate with TA Search Leads on regional searches, engagements, conferences, and insights.
• Serve as senior deal-team member, supporting transactions through due diligence and close.
• Represent CSL at local external innovation events and ensure visibility.
• Participate as a board member in industry bodies and pursue board roles.
• Maintain knowledge of internal capabilities and engage SMEs to enhance credibility.
• Provide insights on regional biotech trends and competition.
• Work with R&D, BD, and legal to evaluate and integrate external assets.
