A local government authority in the UK is looking for Waste Refuse Collectors to join their team. The role involves physically demanding tasks, including walking up to 12 miles a day across Coventry and surrounding areas. Candidates must be hard-working and capable of understanding Health & Safety instructions in English. Waste is a busy operational department that provides essential services to the residents of Coventry, Nuneaton & Bedworth and Commercial. We conduct over 210,000 collections a week on an alternate weekly collection system in Coventry alone, collection domestic waste. In order to conduct the services we provide we have a large number of crews across all services and use various tipping locations.
We have several vacancies for Waste Refuse Collectors to work with our diverse residents and communities across Coventry, Nuneaton & Bedworth, as well as Commercial Services.
We are offering full‑time, fixed‑term contracts (6 months) for individuals interested in joining our team as Refuse Collectors.
