A healthcare organization in the UK is looking for an experienced refrigeration maintenance and service engineer. In this mobile role, you will travel throughout Dorset, handling maintenance and repairs for refrigeration systems across Trust properties. Job description
Role Overview

We are recruiting for an experienced refrigeration maintenance and service engineer to join the Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust Estates team. This mobile role will require daily travel throughout Dorset, attending to refrigeration breakdowns, service and repair to all Trusts properties. You will be an experienced refrigeration engineer and will be provided with the autonomy to deliver both reactive and planned works under the supervision of the Mechanical Estates Officer, ensuring all patients, staff and visitors are safe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out maintenance, breakdowns and repairs of all refrigeration plant and equipment.
  • Carry out routine servicing to all refrigeration plant and equipment.
  • Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Manage and maintain required stock levels with an emphasis of first fix, first visit.
  • Carry out reactive and planned works to all other building services to include hot and cold water systems, ventilation, heating systems, drainage, safe electrical isolation and building fabric.
  • Be part of the out of hours, on-call team at a set frequency.
  • Be responsible for driving and maintaining a Trusts vehicle.
