Job summary

Omega is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join a leading supermarket contract. You will maintain, service and repair refrigeration equipment across customer locations and assist with HVAC systems containing refrigeration circuits.

A 24/7 on-call rota (1:4) is required, with a van, fuel card, tools, uniform, and IT equipment provided. The role offers a 40-hour week, salary around £51,287.99, and benefits including travel time considerations and generous leave.

Qualifications

• Time served apprenticeship in refrigeration or equivalent.
• NVQ/C&G Refrigeration qualification or equivalent.
• Approved training programme in refrigeration systems.
• Refrigerant handling training (C&G 2079 or CITB).
• Valid skill/card and full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise maintenance and repair to meet timescales.
• Identify faults and advise replacements to Line Manager.
• Ensure PPM schedules and paperwork are completed.
• Complete technical/compliance documentation accurately.
• Order and fit parts as prescribed by procedures.
• Report issues affecting store operations to GSMs.
• Carry out surveys and prepare reports for supervisors.
