Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in commercial refrigeration in catering, retail, or hospitality.
• Good electrical understanding, 18th Edition beneficial.
• Full UK driving license required.

Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Engineer to join a growing service team covering the Yorkshire and Humberside region. This role is ideal for an engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality refrigeration service, maintenance, and breakdown support across a variety of commercial kitchen and food-service environments.

Working on systems such as walk-in fridges, walk-in freezers, display chillers, and general commercial refrigeration equipment, you'll play a key part in keeping customer operations running smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Carry out service, maintenance, and repair on commercial refrigeration systems
• Diagnose faults and provide effective refrigeration troubleshooting
• Replace parts and complete safe, accurate repairs
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to reduce breakdowns
• Ensure compliance with F-Gas and all refrigeration regulations
• Provide clear communication and excellent customer service on-site
• Keep detailed and accurate job records
• Work collaboratively with the wider HVAC & refrigeration team

What We're Looking For:

• F-Gas Category 1 (essential)
• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (preferred)
• Minimum 3 years' commercial refrigeration experience working on catering, retail, or hospitality sites
• Good electrical understanding (18th Edition beneficial)
• CSCS or similar H&S certification preferred
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong diagnostic ability and a proactive approach to problem solving
