Job summary

Trident Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to service, maintain and repair commercial and industrial cooling systems across multiple sites in the UK. The role offers training to develop CO₂ refrigeration skills and a strong emphasis on client relationships.

The ideal candidate will hold F-Gas certification, NVQ Level 2 (Level 3 preferred), and a full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel regionally including London.

Qualifications

• F-Gas Certification required.
• NVQ Level 2 minimum in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning; Level 3 preferred.
• Previous refrigeration industry experience mandatory.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills required.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Willingness to travel across the region, including London.
• Interest in developing CO₂ refrigeration skills is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Fault finding, diagnostics and reactive breakdowns.
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Completing service and repair documentation.
• Building strong customer relationships.
• Developing your CO₂ refrigeration knowledge.

Trident Recruitment are working with a leading employee-owned refrigeration specialist who are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join their growing regional team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer looking for a varied role working across commercial and industrial refrigeration, with the opportunity to develop specialist experience in CO₂ refrigeration.

CO₂ experience is not required – full training and hands‑on development will be provided alongside experienced CO₂ engineers.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing refrigeration and air conditioning systems
• Fault finding, diagnostics and reactive breakdowns
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Completing service and repair documentation
• Building strong customer relationships
• Developing your technical knowledge of CO₂ refrigeration systems

We're looking for an experienced refrigeration engineer with:

• F-Gas Certification
• NVQ Level 2 minimum in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning – Level 3 preferred
• Previous refrigeration industry experience
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Flexibility to travel across the region, including London
• A genuine interest in developing CO₂ refrigeration skills
