Job summary

Talentmark is seeking a Refrigeration Design Engineer in Maldon, Essex, to join an innovative team focused on ultra-low temperature refrigeration systems. The role involves designing, modelling and validating components to meet strict customer and product requirements.

The candidate will work with regulatory standards ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 in a regulated environment, mentoring testing activities, and contributing to the technology roadmap.

Qualifications

• A Mechanical Engineering background is required.
• Strong grasp of thermodynamics and heat transfer.
• Experience modelling technical problems numerically.
• Familiarity with Refprop, Flownex, CAD (SolidWorks) and Agile in regulated settings.

Responsibilities

• Use numeric methods to ensure design performance.
• Create and review specifications for refrigeration systems and components.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and internal requirements.
• Guide testing engineers on planning and execution.
• Feed the technology roadmap with new, feasible ideas.
• Support manufacturing processes to meet quality and safety standards.

Talentmark are currently recruiting for a Refrigeration Design Engineer for an organisation based in Maldon, Essex on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative teamfocussing on the design and development of ultra-low temperature refrigeration systems to meet customer and product requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Use of specific numeric calculation methods to assure design performance.
• Create and review specifications for refrigeration systems and components.
• Meet regulatory compliance to ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and organisation requirements.
• Guide testing engineers on testing planning and execution.
• Feed the refrigeration technology roadmap pipeline by targeting new and feasible technologies.
• Provide support on manufacturing processes and methods to meet quality and safety standards of the product.

Your Background:

• Relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification.
• Proven track of record on product/ technologies development as a design engineer using thermodynamics and heat transfer.
• Experienced in mathematical modelling of technical problems in the field of refrigeration and heat transfer.
• Experience on Refprop, Flownex, SolidWorks (CAD), Agile Project Methodology within a regulated industry.
• F-Gas and Hydrocarbon conversion are a plus.
