Job summary

Entasis Partners invites a Senior Red Team Operator to join its in-house Red Team embedded within a specialist financial services firm. You will run adversary emulation operations end to end, from threat research through to custom tooling, contributing to security decisions at senior leadership levels.

The role sits in London with hybrid work (3 days on-site). Compensation ranges from £130k-£180k base plus up to £50k bonus, with sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Proven scripting abilities in PowerShell and Python or equivalent scripting language.
• Strong programming experience in C/C++, Go or C#.

Responsibilities

• Profile threat actor groups and target environments to map existing controls and plan operations.
• Build bespoke tooling and offensive tradecraft to support live operations.
• Run simulated attack operations end-to-end and adapt to new intel.
• Document lessons learned and share best practices within the team.
• Act as a go-to expert on attacker techniques and trends.
• Evolve tooling, playbooks and operational capabilities over time.

A Senior Red Team Operator opportunity with a specialist financial services firm, embedded within an in-house Red Team that feeds directly into senior leadership's security decisions. You'll run adversary emulation operations end to end, from threat research through to custom tooling, for a business that takes its internal security extremely seriously.

A specialist financial services firm with security embedded deep in how it operates. The business runs an in-house Red Team as part of its wider security assurance programme, giving senior leadership independent insight into the security of the organisation's most important systems and processes. Engagement length and scope vary considerably, and each one probes a different mix of systems, processes and working assumptions. They are hiring to grow a small, tight-knit team that combines deep technical expertise with genuine business impact.

What You’ll Be Doing as a Senior Red Team Operator:

• Profiling threat actor groups and target environments, and mapping existing defensive controls, to build believable attack paths and bespoke operational plans.
• Building bespoke tooling and offensive tradecraft to support live operations, including new techniques and procedures as attacker methods evolve.
• Running simulated attack operations from start to finish, feeding into live decision-making and changing tack as new intel comes to light.
• Writing up and sharing lessons learned, tradecraft and operational security practices across the wider team.
• Acting as a go-to expert on new and emerging attacker techniques and offensive security trends.
• Helping evolve the team's tooling, playbooks and overall operational capability over time.

What We’re Looking For From The Senior Red Team Operator:

• A solid track record in offensive security work, for example red teaming or computer network operations, ideally within financial services or technology.
• Sharp analytical thinking, strong organisation and clear communication, and a genuine eye for detail.
• A knack for spotting attack routes others miss, while staying true to how a real adversary would actually behave.
• Comfortable calling the right shots and getting things done when the picture keeps changing.
• Hands-on admin-level knowledge of both Windows 11 and Linux environments.
• A deep grasp of operational security and offensive tradecraft, including practical know-how on getting past or working around modern defensive tooling.
