Job summary

Veolia in the UK seeks a Waste Operative to support the destruction and recycling of incoming waste. You will de-pack material, sort recyclables, and operate forklifts and process machinery on site, contributing to safe, efficient operations.

This role includes loading/unloading palletised waste, keeping the site clean, and attending training as needed. A forklift licence and willingness to work in a busy, safety-focused environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate process machinery and forklift trucks safely.
• Willingness to perform manual tasks including de-packing and sorting.
• Able to carry out daily site cleaning and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Unload/load vehicles containing palletised waste.
• Sort recyclable items and de-pack material.
• Attend training as required and follow safety policies.
