Recruitment & Training Administrator – Temporary Role l

3 days per week | Based in the Safeguarding Team l Newark

We are seeking a confident and compassionate Recruitment & Training Administrator to provide vital support to our busy Safeguarding Team during a peak period. This is a part time, temporary role that could go on for several weeks.

What You’ll Be Doing: Recruitment Administration (Main Focus):
  • Coordinating and processing DBS checks for over 200 locations (approx. 12 per week).
  • Checking supporting ID documentation (e.g. passports, driving licences) for accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitoring DBS compliance across all locations, flagging missing or incomplete onboarding documentation.
  • Ensuring recruitment processes align with safeguarding standards.
Training Administration:
  • Setting up mandatory safeguarding training courses on the learning platform.
  • Managing course schedules (start/end dates), tracking attendees, and managing cancellations/waitlists.
  • Providing clear communication with delegates regarding course availability and requirements.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Essential: Previous experience processing DBS checks.
  • Desirable: Background in training administration or use of a learning platform.
  • Strong IT skills – confident using Microsoft Word, Excel (basic reporting), Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with sensitive and potentially distressing safeguarding material.

This role is based in the Safeguarding Team and may involve handling sensitive and emotionally challenging information protection cases. It’s important that applicants are emotionally resilient and prepared for this aspect of the work. Support will be provided, but please consider this carefully before applying.
