West Midlands Police are looking for a Recruitment Assistant who is enthusiastic, dynamic and flexible to help support the recruitment team with administrative responsibilities. This is an essential role as part of our recruitment service for West Midlands Police. Our aim is to attract, hire and retain the best employees ensuring that we are able to serve our communities to the highest possible standard. As a Recruitment & Selection Assistant you will support this aim.
You will be assisting our Recruitment officers with essential administrative tasks, ensuring all key information is documented sufficiently and efficiently. You will be a key member of the team helping to achieve all aims set out by the force. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to begin their career in the Recruitment and HR world.
Prospective officers and staff must be held to a higher standard of behaviour and accountability than members of the public, and that therefore their right to privacy can be fettered in certain circumstances. This is to ensure that members of the police are fully aware and accountable for the unique powers entrusted to them and the standards of professional behaviour they swear to uphold.
Successful applicants will be required to pass Recruitment Vetting and Counter Terrorism Clearance scrutiny prior to commencing their role, this will include a full background & financial disclosure as part of the vetting process.
Appointment to this role will be dependent upon successfully medical checks, which may include a drugs test and if required a fitness test.
This is a full‑time role, working Monday to Friday between core hours.
