Job description

Engineering, I.T., Interim Recruitment, Other

Are you an experienced Recruitment Consultant with knowledge of the IT or Engineering Contracts sectors, keen to build a desk within an independent recruitment consultancy with a highly regarded reputation? Are you ready for that next challenge where you can have autonomy and the chance to work flexibly?

The company

Our client is an independent and well established Recruitment Consultancy specialising in the IT, Technical and Engineering Sectors. They have an enviable reputation and offer unrivalled service to businesses in the West Midlands and beyond, having developed a strong market presence, based on the successes of their exceptional team.

Our client puts an onus on team work and treating their Consultants well, encouraging a real ‘family-feel’ environment in the office. Regular team get-togethers and events are organized to bring the teams together and foster this warm, friendly culture.

The role

Due to increased demands in this niche, our client is looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to springboard the Contracting Division. With opportunities to either build a team around you, or simply become a big biller, the IT and Engineering divisions are well established to support you to allow progress in a direction which suits you.

With offices in Kidderminster and Worcester, your location is optional and there is also the possibility for flexibility in working hours. Our client prides itself on the personal development and training it offers to all employees, as well as the relaxed atmosphere in which the Consultants are able to operate.

The ideal consultant

You may be working in Birmingham and fed up with the daily grind of a commute in to the City. You may be looking for a role to gain more of a work/life balance. Or perhaps you have had enough of endless corporate targets and want to put some fun back in to your routine.

The ideal Recruitment Consultant will have at least 2-3 years’ experience in Recruitment, preferably coming from an IT or Engineering background. You will be knowledgeable in your market and have a good understanding of how to succeed in the Interim and Contracts markets. You will have a strong, proven track record, along with the gravitas to deal with top Contractors.

The backing, training, structure and existing brand is already in place to enable the Recruitment Consultant to be highly successful in the Contracts market. However, you will need to bring your knowledge, expertise and ability in this niche to really kick-start the desk, in a fully autonomous role.

What is on offer?

  • Excellent, negotiable salary based on skills and experience (around £25-35k pro rata for the right person)
  • Strong and competitive commission structure
  • Flexible working available
  • Healthcare after 1 year
  • Pension
  • Parking
  • Mobile and laptop
  • Newly refurbished offices
  • Training and investment in people
