VWA is hiring! We are looking for an ambitious, hardworking, highly communicative and team‑playing individual to join our Permanent Division as Recruitment Consultant. With responsibility for building and maintaining your own client‑base, the role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their existing account management and business development skills in a commercial and people‑focused environment.

About the Recruitment Consultant Role:

As a Consultant based on the Permanent team, your role will focus on both business development/client relationship management and completing end‑to‑end recruitment processes. You will also be required to perform broader tasks and develop skills which enable the entirety of VWA to flourish in a collaborative, professional and commercial way. These will include:

  • Sourcing candidates through responding to applications and active searching on recruitment job boards.
  • Taking briefings on permanent, fixed‑term contract and temporary‑to‑permanent roles from clients.
  • Filling roles in a timely manner.
  • Conducting competency‑based interviews with candidates invited to register, and candidate relationship management throughout registration process.
  • Shortlisting candidates for clients' briefs and managing each step of the recruitment process including collating interview feedback from candidates and negotiating offers.
  • Relationship management with clients and candidates with a long‑term approach based on honesty, trust, respect and consistent engagement.
  • Identify and pitch for new business at target clients.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues on shared roles.
  • Market research and analysis as required.
  • Administrative support including sending our compliance documents.
  • Other tasks as required.
About You:
  • Prior experience in a recruitment would be ideal, however other account management, sales and business development‑based backgrounds (with proven success) will be considered.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • An efficient approach to work and with a warm and approachable manner.
  • Natural rapport‑builder, and have a team‑working and commercial mindset.
  • Experience with LinkedIn, Reed and Access CRM are desirable but not essential.
Additional Details:
  • Core hours are 9am - 5, with flexibility to work beyond these hours if required.
  • The company operates a hybrid working structure (3 days office‑based) however the successful candidate will be fully office‑based while onboarding into the role.
  • Competitive base salary up to 45K depending on relevant experience and eventual participation in commission scheme and discretionary bonus.
