Role: Recruitment Consultant

Location: Salford Quays, Manchester

Hours: Full Time, 7.30am 4pm 2 days per week, 7.30am - 5pm 2 days per week, 7.30am 4.30pm 1 days per week, with reduced hours (9am - 3pm) in school summer holidays

Term: Permanent, 4 days office based, 1 day working from home

Start Date: Candidate dependent

Package: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum + uncapped commission

We are looking to appoint a Recruitment Consultant to join our Tuition team based in Salford. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the market leaders in education recruitment, supporting schools and local authorities to place high‑quality tutors for students requiring support.

The role

Vision for Education can offer an unrivalled service to both clients and candidates.

As a Recruitment Consultant, you will play a key role in managing tuition provision across your areas. Working closely with local authorities, schools, tutors, and families, you ll ensure vulnerable and disengaged students receive the support they need to engage with education. The role is demanding and diverse and involves:

  • Managing a large and diverse client base - many local authorities and schools work exclusively with Vision for Education.
  • Using sales, business development, and marketing techniques, including networking opportunities, to attract new clients.
  • Liaising with parents and carers to schedule tuition sessions, ensuring availability and engagement.
  • Managing tutor and student attendance, promptly addressing cancellations, absences, or changes to provision.
  • Collating and reviewing weekly tuition reports, tracking student outcomes and escalating any concerns.
  • Attending student review meetings to monitor progress and inform support plans.
  • Using systems, including Saleforce, to manage bookings and maintain accurate records.
  • Advertising roles and promote opportunities using social media and other digital platforms to attract candidates and engage the education community.
  • Receiving and reviewing applications, conduct interviews, and create shortlists for clients.
  • Requesting references and perform suitability and safeguarding checks prior to candidate placement.
  • Brief candidates on their responsibilities, expectations, salary, and benefits before deployment.
  • Coordinating sponsorship and competitions in collaboration with clients.
The successful Recruitment Consultant will have/be
