Job summary

Transport for Wales is seeking an experienced recruitment and talent management professional to support the delivery of the career and talent strategy across the organisation. You will lead recruitment campaigns, oversee assessment centres, onboarding, and ensure best practice within UK legislation.

Welsh language skills are not essential, but learning options are available. You will collaborate with line managers, design innovative recruitment solutions, and help build a diverse workforce

Qualifications

• Experience in similar recruitment roles.
• Experience delivering Assessment Centres; Level A & B psychometric testing or willingness to train within 3 months.
• Experience recruiting for high-volume roles with challenging timescales.
• Experience designing and delivering innovative recruitment solutions.
• Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems.

• Manage the delivery of timely, fair and effective recruitment campaigns; actively managing resource plans.
• Ensure recruitment documentation including job adverts, job descriptions and all candidate offer paperwork is issued to timescales and reflects terms offered by the company.
• Manage the provision of an effective assessment service for operational colleagues in line with national standards.
• Oversee onboarding documentation and updates to recruitment/HR systems in line with UK legislation.
• Continuously improve recruitment solutions to be cost-effective and innovative.
• Arrange and conduct bespoke assessment centres for recruitment purposes to assess required competencies.

Job description

Support the delivery of the career and talent management strategy across the organisation, with particular focus on the recruitment and career paths of the highest quality staff while delivering the recruitment and selection of talent by ensuring best practice is followed by the company, advising and coaching line managers and ensuring that the best recruitment decisions are made within our legal obligations.

Role responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of timely, fair and effective recruitment campaigns; actively managing company resource plans in line with business needs. Ensure that recruitment documentation including job adverts, job descriptions and all candidate offer paperwork is issued to the required timescales and to the highest standard, accurately reflecting terms and conditions offered by the company.
• Manage the provision of an effective assessment service for operational colleagues, which complies to national industry standards.
• Manage the new starter process by collaborating with the Recruitment Admin team for all successful candidates ensuring all onboarding documentation is received in line with UK legislation and any other national industry requirements and the relevant recruitment and HR systems are updated accordingly.
• Continuous improvement of customer focused, cost-effective and innovative recruitment solutions using a range of techniques and in line with the latest research.
• Arrange and conduct bespoke assessment centres for recruitment purposes to effectively assess the required competencies.

Who we're looking for

• Demonstrable experience of working in a similar role
• Experience of delivering Assessment Centres and be qualified in Level A & B, BPS Psychometric testing or be willing to undertake training within the first 3 months.
• Experience of recruiting for high volume roles with challenging timescales
• Experience of designing and delivering innovative recruitment solutions
• Demonstrable experience of using Applicant Tracking Systems
