We are seeking someone with experience in background in Construction or Engineering Recruitment to develop new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with both clients and candidates. This role is situated in an established team with a strong reputation across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with recruitment experience (ideally in construction or a related technical field) who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and enjoys building long-term partnerships.
DAY TO DAY
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients across the construction sector (main contractors, subcontractors, developers, consultancies, etc.)
- Proactively identify and win new business through networking, cold calling, and client meetings
- Take detailed client briefs and provide consultative advice on market conditions, salary benchmarking, and recruitment strategy
- Negotiate commercial terms and agreements in line with company policy.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and networking
- Manage the full candidate lifecycle—from initial approach to placement and post-placement follow-up
- Match candidates effectively to client requirements, ensuring both technical and cultural fit
- Maintain an up-to-date database of candidates and ensure all activity is accurately recorded in the CRM system
- Work towards and exceed individual and team targets
- Collaborate with colleagues across other divisions to maximise business opportunities
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity, and changes in employment legislation affecting the industry

- Proven experience in recruitment—ideally within the construction, engineering, or technical sectors.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and business development skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple roles, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
- Resilient, self-motivated, and results-driven approach.
- Knowledge of construction disciplines (e.g. civil engineering, M&E, trades & labour, project management, etc.).
- Existing network of construction professionals and clients.
- Experience with CRM or ATS software.
