Recovery Worker - Women's Service (Ref:0090ZB)

We are looking for a Recovery Worker to join our Women's Service in Truro, Cornwall. The role is office‑based in central Truro and supports a diverse client group seeking recovery from substance misuse, mental and emotional health challenges, and to build healthy relationships.

Main Duties

The role is trauma‑informed and delivered through an outreach model, ensuring flexibility to keep women engaged in treatment. You will work closely with multi‑agency partners to develop sustainable pathways and support women in meeting their personal goals.

Job Responsibilities

As a Recovery Worker you will provide high‑quality care to women with complex needs, deliver individual and group support, facilitate access to services, and maintain accurate records. You will also manage your own caseload, collaborate within the team, and attend regular multi‑agency meetings. The position is available on a permanent basis with a starting salary of £25,000 per annum, increasing annually to £30,000 within our pay progression bands.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Attain ONC/NVQ Level 3 (or be willing to achieve within 12 months)
  • Demonstrable experience in health, social care, criminal justice, or a specialist setting working with people with substance misuse issues
  • Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organisational and time‑management abilities
  • Team‑player – able to support colleagues and work collaboratively
  • Resilient and capable of prioritising under pressure
  • IT competence (basic computer and data entry)
  • Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays and support other With You locations if required
  • Passion for working with people, positive and engaging approach to clients and stakeholders
