Recovery Worker (Community Drug and Alcohol Service) – Ref: 0081ZB

About the Role

As part of a large integrated drug and alcohol service in Cornwall, you will support excluded and disadvantaged people to identify their goals, create a treatment plan, and guide them on the path to recovery. Your role involves managing an active caseload, coordinating care, and working across outreach, hospital, clinical, criminal justice, and residential rehabilitation settings. You may be based in Falmouth with occasional work from Truro.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess client needs and develop individualized recovery plans.
  • Provide continuity of care through partnership working and coordination with other services.
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports.
  • Support clients in accessing housing, education, employment, and wellbeing resources.
  • Deliver timely and responsive case management, ensuring dignity and respect.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including health, social care, and criminal justice professionals.
  • Attend regular team meetings, case reviews, and training sessions.
  • Support the Truro office as required; travel around Cornwall as part of the role.
Qualifications and Experience
  • ONC/NVQ Level 3, or willing to achieve within 12 months.
  • Demonstrable experience in health, social care, criminal justice, or a specialist setting.
  • Track record of working with people with substance misuse issues.
  • Working knowledge of Cornwall's service landscape and referral pathways.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • High organisational and time‑management skills.
  • IT competence and flexible working hours; occasional Saturdays.
  • Valid driving licence with access to a vehicle for business use.
Compensation and Benefits

Starting salary £25,000 per annum, rising annually in line with the pay progression band to £30,000 per annum.
